Getting started
How do I open Threadpull?
Click the Threadpull icon in your toolbar. It opens in the side panel. Pin it from the puzzle-piece menu so it’s always one click away.
Which pages does it work on?
Reddit thread pages, Reddit share links, and Reddit search and subreddit pages, where one pull covers up to 100 threads. YouTube videos and Shorts, including youtu.be links. A company's Trustpilot reviews, or a link to one of its reviews. With a free account, Hacker News threads and Reddit user profiles too.
Does it work in Edge?
Yes. Edge can install it from the Chrome Web Store (allow extensions from other stores when Edge asks), and it works the same way.
Pulling comments
Why did I only get 20 comments or reviews?
Without an account, Threadpull shows 20 comments or reviews per pull, and 150 on your very first. Sign in with a free account and it shows every one.
Reddit is asking me to prove I’m human
Complete the check in your Reddit tab, then click Pull again. Threadpull never tries to get around it.
A pull stopped with an error
Wait a minute and try again. If Reddit is limiting requests, a short pause usually fixes it.
YouTube videos
Why does Threadpull ask to read youtube.com?
Chrome asks the first time you pull a YouTube video, so if you only use Reddit you’re never asked. Threadpull needs it to read the video and its comments in your open YouTube tab, the way YouTube loads them, and it reads nothing else on youtube.com.
Why do comments come Newest first?
YouTube’s Top order leaves some comments out. Newest first returns every one, so Threadpull always pulls Newest first, with the pinned comment on top.
Why are dates and likes approximate?
YouTube shows only how long ago a comment was posted, like “3 weeks ago”, so Threadpull counts back from the moment of the pull to give it a date. Likes are YouTube’s own rounded numbers, like “1.2K”.
Why won’t a video pull?
Comments may be turned off, the video may be a live stream (pull it once the stream has ended), or it may be private or removed. YouTube also asks you to sign in for age-restricted and members-only videos, and in some countries to choose your cookie settings first. The side panel tells you which. Threadpull never gets around these.
Trustpilot reviews
Which Trustpilot pages work?
A company’s reviews page (trustpilot.com/review/ and the company’s website), on www and on the country sites such as uk.trustpilot.com. A link to one review works too: it pulls the reviews of the company it’s about. Categories, search results and reviewer profiles aren’t a company’s reviews, so there’s nothing to pull there.
Why does Threadpull ask to read trustpilot.com?
Chrome asks the first time you pull a company’s reviews, so if you never do, you’re never asked. Threadpull needs it to read the reviews in your open Trustpilot tab, the way Trustpilot loads them, and it reads nothing else on trustpilot.com.
Why didn’t I get every review?
The pull follows the view on your Trustpilot tab: the language, stars, dates, topic and order you picked there. The side panel names the view and its review count before you pull. For every review, choose all languages and all stars on Trustpilot first.
Why did a pull stop at 200 reviews?
Signed out, Trustpilot may show only the first 200 reviews of a view (10 pages) and then ask you to sign in. When it does, the pull stops there, keeps those reviews and tells you. To pull more, sign in on Trustpilot before you pull. Threadpull never splits a view to collect more.
Trustpilot is asking me to prove I’m human
Finish the check in your Trustpilot tab, then pull again. The pull stops at the check and keeps what it had, and Threadpull never tries to get around it.
Are the company’s replies included?
Yes. Each reply sits under its review, marked as the company’s, in the results, the exports and Send to AI. Insights leave them out, so phrases and questions come only from customers.
Exports and AI
Where do CSV and JSON files go?
To your browser’s normal Downloads folder.
Send to AI opened the chat but didn’t send
That’s on purpose. The comments are placed in the chat box so you can check them, then you press send.
Can I choose which columns are exported?
Yes. In Profile, turn scores, thread levels, links and the post on or off.
Your account
Do I need an account?
No. Pulling and exporting work without one. A free account shows every comment, adds Hacker News and Reddit profiles, and keeps a History of your pulls. Sign in with Google or email from Profile in the side panel.
