How the scraper works

Threadpull reads the thread through the Reddit tab you already have open, the same way your browser loads it when you scroll. It follows every "load more comments" link until the whole conversation is collected.

If Reddit asks you to prove you're human, complete the check in your Reddit tab and pull again. Threadpull never posts, votes or messages anyone.

What it can't do

  • Read private or banned communities you can't open yourself
  • Bring back comments that were deleted or removed
  • Pull a whole subreddit at once; it works one thread or profile at a time

Reddit scraper FAQ

Is this Reddit comment scraper free?

Yes, it's free to use. Without an account it shows 20 comments per pull, and 150 on your first pull. Sign in with a free account to see every comment.

Do I need a Reddit API key or account?

No. It reads the thread through your open Reddit tab. You only need to be able to see the thread yourself.

Does it get nested replies and "load more" comments?

Yes. Every reply at every level, with its thread level so you can rebuild the conversation.

Can I scrape a Reddit user’s comments?

Yes, with a free account. Open a user’s profile and pull their comments across communities.

What formats can I export?

CSV for spreadsheets, JSON for tools and code, or plain text copied to your clipboard.

Is it allowed?

Threadpull only reads public pages you open, at a normal pace, and never posts. How you use the data is up to you and Reddit’s terms.
